September 27th is World Tourism Day. “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” is this year’s WTD theme, decided by the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization). Primarily, World Tourism Day emphasizes the importance of tourism globally. It highlights the economic, social, political, and cultural roles that tourism plays in countries around the world. As a passionate traveler and travel writer, I love discovering the world and marveling at the beauty of sights and sounds worldwide. To travel is to explore the world and learn more about ourselves.
