Beautiful World of Window Functionality and Aesthetics – Photo Story

Windows play various parts in architecture and interior design. Their function and form are essential in our homes and offices. Windows show us the world around us and reveal the charms of the country where they are located, making them tourist attractions. In this photo story, I feature the beautiful world of window functionality and aesthetics through windows I’ve seen and photographed in many countries. Discover more.

Window Functionality and Aesthetics

Windows on a house or a building have many roles. They bring in much-needed natural light, which has an essential effect on our quality of life, mood, and productivity. Through the windows comes fresh air, refreshing our homes. Windows show us the world around us and also contribute to the building’s appearance.

Materials and Styles of Windows

Frames are made of wood, metal, and other materials. Window glass can be completely transparent, painted with different motifs, or made of several types and colors of glass fused into a beautiful picture, which brings a play of light and color to the interior every day.

They can be small or large, one- or two-wing, round or square, English, French, or Mediterranean style… They complement a range of architectural styles, from historical to contemporary and from rural to urban.

Windows reveal the charms of the country they are in and are often tourist attractions themselves.

Through them, we get to know the world around us. Therefore, let’s get to know them too. As a design & travel content creator, I find inspiration on my travels.
