Abimis responds to this modern living trend with Ego and Atelier, its two signature design lines made entirely in AISI 304 stainless steel – a durable, antibacterial, and hygienic material suitable for food contact – and are fully customizable in terms of size, finishes, and configuration. Both models – Ego, designed by Alberto Torsello and defined by its generous, rounded volumes, and Atelier, with its more geometric and understated inspiration – translate the brand’s profound professional-grade technical expertise into high-performance solutions for sophisticated domestic settings.

The Ego line, in its island configuration, was chosen for two design projects in Paris and Rome, showcasing the versatility of its design matrix and the inherent qualities of stainless steel.

In the French capital, a classically inspired apartment, featuring antique wooden furniture, original herringbone parquet flooring, Art Nouveau windows, and precious moldings and ceiling roses, provides the backdrop for Alberto Torsello’s design, which is inspired by the 1950s, embellished in this case by the orbitally polished by hand finish and rounded, tone-on-tone handles.

The bespoke kitchen is equipped with a single-bowl sink welded flush to the joint-free top featuring a raised non-drip edge, along with an induction hob, a hood and an oven, drawers, compartments with hinged doors and high-capacity pull-out units.

In contrast, a Roman interior with an industrial style, featuring concrete-effect floors and walls, and a completely neutral color palette, frames the Ego line. This Abimis kitchen has been selected in the free-standing island configuration as well as against the wall, complete with tall units housing a double oven, freezer drawers, and a wine cellar.

The central block, also orbitally polished by hand and with stainless steel handles, features an induction hob integrated into the top and a retractable electrical socket column, alongside pull-out drawers and rounded compartments – designed to facilitate cleaning – complete with flush-fitting hinged doors which provide practical storage for utensils and accessories.

The orbitally polished by hand finish with rounded, tone-on-tone handles – distinctive of the collection – was also chosen for a private villa nestled among the hills and vineyards of Napa Valley, a modern take on an American farm. In the large, contemporary living area, with expansive windows and the typical sloping roof of American farm architecture, the Ego line stands out as the focus of the open-plan kitchen.

Installed in the island configuration with the sink integrated into the top, storage compartments with silent-closing hinged doors (thanks to the honeycomb aluminum panel structure), and a recessed ergonomic plinth, this kitchen is complemented by a block along the rear wall featuring a hob and professional hood, and a cantilevered snack top, all custom-made by Abimis.
