Single Curve Collection – Special mention German Design Award

The German Design Award, started in 2012, is the international premium prize of the German Design Council. Its goal is to discover, present and award unique design trends.

The three-legs stool proposed by Nendo, where the steam-bent wood expresses only one structural detail, drawing the attention on each element, express the refined elegance of the Japanese minimalism which distills the essence of the design research.

“Single Curve” (design Nendo) is a collection that also includes: barstool, dining table and low table.

The barstool is characterise for a woven cane larger seat and for a four-leg support. The beech structure proposes the steam-bent element in the backrest which continues horizontally.

On the base, which is made up of two different wooden elements, rests the dining table. A beech structure disclosing its precious steam-bent detail through the transparent glass top, also available in the marble and wood version.

The low table is available in three heights, with a beech structure enriched by a steam-bent element; the top is available in marble, glass and wood versions, and allows the table to fit the different environments in the living area with extreme versatility.
