Light + Building 2014 with top German and international brands

New exhibition hall with world market leaders from the fields of LED and technical luminaires and lamps

Light + Building, the world’s biggest trade fair for lighting and building-services technology, is once again set to be the international focal point for the sector. Over 2,300 exhibitors, including all national and international market leaders, will launch their new products onto the world market in Frankfurt am Main from 30 March to 4 April 2014.

The world’s biggest platform for the lighting market
The participation of renowned companies such as Artemide, Bankamp, Bega, Brand van Egmont, Erco, Faustig, Flos, iGuzzini, Ingo Maurer, Nimbus, Osram, Philips, Schréder, Tobias Grau, Toshiba, Trilux and Zumtobel is indicative of the comprehensive range of lighting products to be seen at Light + Building. In view of the huge increase in demand for LED solutions on the exhibitor and visitor sides, an additional exhibition hall (6.2) will be opened for the LED and technical lighting segments and include prominent exhibitors such as Samsung and LG.

The lighting market is currently dominated by the dynamic development of LED and OLED technologies. At the world’s biggest trade fair for the sector, manufacturers present their latest technical luminaires and lamps, as well as street and outdoor lighting for public areas. Additionally, visitors can see technical, design-oriented luminaires and decorative luminaires for homes and business premises in all styles and price categories. Rounding off this part of the fair are lighting components.

International venue for intelligent building-services technology
Numerous world-famous brands are also represented on the building-services technology side of Light+Building 2014. The exhibitors launching their new products at the fair include ABB, Beckhoff, Gira, Hager, Jung, Mennekes, OBO Bettermann, Phoenix Contact, Rittal, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Stiebel Eltron and Wago.

The electrical engineering, house and building automation segment and software for the building industry play a key role in equipping and operating intelligent and networked buildings. Thus, innovations for energy-efficient building-system solutions, electrical installations and software solutions for the building sector will be presented at Light + Building 2014. Other product segments include electrical installation and networking technology, design-oriented electrical installations and building-system technology, photovoltaic, facility management and contracting. Also represented are suppliers of different bus technologies, such as BACnet, EnOcean, KNX and LON.

Covering an area of 240,000 square metres in 22 exhibition halls and one outdoor area, Light+Building will show the latest developments from the fields of lighting, electrical engineering, house and building automation and software for the building industry.

Light + Building is supported and sponsored by the two leading German trade associations: German Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industry (Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e.V. – ZVEI) and Central Association of the German Electrical and Information Technology Trades (Zentralverband der Deutschen Elektro- und Informations-technischen Handwerke – ZVEH). Thus, the ZVEI has its own exhibition stand where it shows the expertise of the electrical industry and the benefits of energy-efficient systems. The ZVEH also takes part in Light+Building to disseminate information about the electrical and information technology trades.
