Terra Quieta: Traditional Apulian Architecture Encounters Contemporary Design

Immersed in the silence of the olive groves, just minutes from Ostuni’s historic center and the coast, Terra Quieta is a retreat born from the encounter between traditional Apulian architecture and a contemporary, essential design language.

The project combines the ancestral charm of a historic four-cone trullo, restored and transformed into an annex with a master suite, with a new one-level tufa-stone building that overlooks an infinity pool. Two distinct architectural structures, yet deeply connected to the same landscape, interact through materials, proportions, and a shared focus on simplicity.

More than just a home, Terra Quieta is conceived as a place dedicated to reconnecting with nature, offering the opportunity to experience a slower pace of life. The project revolves around a clear idea: creating a space that embraces tranquility and light, allowing natural elements to define the atmosphere of the interiors.

The choice of materials and furnishings follows the same philosophy. Stone, neutral tones, tactile surfaces, and carefully selected furnishings create understated, authentic spaces where every element contributes to an intimate, sensory experience. The connection with the outdoors is constant: the rooms in the new building open onto the Mediterranean vegetation, while the trullo retains the intimate, tactile character of the original structure.

Outside, the infinity pool becomes a connecting element between the two volumes, as well as a privileged vantage point from which to admire the surrounding landscape. The garden, inspired by the spontaneous vegetation of the area, completes the setting with an intentionally natural and understated character.

Balanced Contrast in Bathroom Design

It is within this balance between authenticity and contemporary design that the choice of Ritmonio solutions comes into play. The Diametro35 collection, in the sophisticated Black finish, brings a bold yet essential graphic presence to the bathrooms, creating a dialogue with the materiality of the stone and the neutral color palette of the interiors. Diametro35 is distinguished by the purity of its forms and its minimalist design, which takes on greater intensity in the black finish. The result is a balanced contrast in which the faucets are functional elements and an integral part of the interior design.

Diametro35 Black perfectly embodies the approach behind the project: a carefully curated selection of elements, capable of defining the space without overwhelming it, while offering maximum design flexibility both in shower configurations and wall-mounted installations, where the controls blend seamlessly and elegantly into the formal language of the setting. The collection thus confirms itself as an outstanding solution, combining aesthetic rigor, visual coherence, and high functional performance in any architectural context.
