Two Fairs at the Same Time – PLACE2GO and Camping & Outdoor

This year, for the first time, visitors of this renowned travel fair have the opportunity to visit two fairs at the same time – PLACE2GO and Camping & Outdoor, thus making the Croatian capital city, Zagreb, a meeting place for the tourism industry, travelers, and fans of active holidays for several days.
PLACE2GO unites exhibitors and B2B workshop participants from three continents—Europe, Asia, and Africa—with representatives from 25 countries attending the exhibition and business program.

This year, 110 Croatian exhibitors are participating, including 46 tourist boards. The organizers highlight that this reflects their ongoing efforts to balance domestic and international exhibitors and to promote the potential of local guests.

Once again, the fair is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian National Tourist Board, the City of Zagreb, the Zagreb Tourist Board, and the Croatian Chamber of Economy. Officials from these organizations addressed journalists and business delegates at today’s grand opening.

PLACE2GO Offers a Rich Program of Lectures and Panels

One of the trademarks of this year’s fair is a rich program of lectures and panels that will be held throughout all three days.
Friday is traditionally reserved for professional topics, so today visitors heard an analysis of Croatian tourism results for 2025 and expectations for 2026, as well as discussions on the tourism development in Zagreb and the growing interest of young travelers in green tourism in Slovenia.

On Saturday and Sunday, visitors will have the opportunity to hear travel stories, bloggers’ and influencers’ experiences from around the world. Visitors will be able to listen to stories about the Philippines, the legendary American Route 66, and Gambia, learn how to get to know Africa through volunteering, and how challenging, but also inspiring, it is to travel with children.
Traditionally, visitors can expect a rich prize competition. The prize pool includes trips and various travel accessories, the organizers highlighted.
Camping & Outdoor – Over 20 Campers in Pavilion 8

On Saturday and Sunday, camping and active vacation enthusiasts will also be in for a treat. In Pavilion 8, they can view more than 20 campers, purchase camping equipment, learn about the most beautiful green weekend destinations in Croatia and Slovenia, arrange rafting, kayaking, quad bike excursions, or zip-line adventures, and receive the first information about the upcoming ski season and the offer of ski equipment.

Twenty-five students majoring in hotel management host foreign exhibitors and assist them in their daily tasks during the fair.
At the same time, students have the opportunity to meet international exhibitors and their companies. They can experience firsthand how tourist destinations and products are presented in the global market.
