The role of the bedroom in relaxation of body and mind is significant because restorative sleep is essential for both health and productive work during the day. The furniture, materials, and colors in bedroom design can affect sleep and, therefore, mood. Scientists say that a lack of sleep can contribute to feeling stressed out during the day.

The optimal recipe for a peaceful night’s sleep starts with a wooden bed. For healthy sleep, muscles should relax, which is facilitated by a mattress that supports the body by following the line of the spine (correct sleeping position – spine is in a straight position).

As for the color palette, the relaxing bedroom is designed in warm neutral and earthy tones, as well as gentle, pastel shades of green, blue, and purple. To delight the sense of smell, scent the room with lavender or chamomile (for relaxation), rosemary or citrus (for waking up).

When choosing paintings and photographs, pay attention to the feelings they evoke. An image of a peaceful landscape will fit wonderfully into the calming atmosphere of a relaxation oasis.

Green is a color of relaxation and refreshment, making it an excellent choice for bedroom design and decor.

This lovely color brings the freshness of natural scenery into the bedroom interior in a variety of tints, tones, and shades. Olive, lime, pistachio, avocado, mint, sage, grass, moss, forest, emerald, and jade are among the beautiful nuances of this natural color, also known as a sight for sore eyes. Just imagine the views of a lush garden, a rich forest, and a sparkling gem.

Color therapy experts say this natural color calms the mind, body, and spirit. With a green hue, create a sleeping space that helps to revitalize your body and mind.

Walls, floor, and ceiling; bed, bedding, bedside tables, closet and storage furniture, dressing table, and decorative details: add a gentle touch of greenery to some or all of these design elements.

Colors and scents should complement the function of the indoor and/or outdoor space, and relaxing is the main function of holiday apartments. So, let’s talk about choosing the colors and scents for a holiday apartment.

According to color therapy experts, the champions of relaxation are certainly blue color (brings inner peace), lavender and lilac (relaxing and optimistic), and green (calms the mind, body, and spirit).

Color schemes or color combinations in interior design and decorating are as essential as individual colors. Relaxing interiors are created by neutral (white, gray, black, beige, brown) and harmonic analogous scheme (three colors that are situated next to each other on the color wheel such as, for example, blue, blue-green and green, or green, green-yellow and yellow, etc.), as well as a monochromatic or one-color scheme (combining various tints, tones, and shades of the same color) – when applying some of the relaxing colors.

The effect of essential oils on relaxation has long been known. As with colors, we can also declare champions of relaxation – lavender, lilac, lemon balm, bergamot orange, and lemon.
