How to Create a Pastel-Colored Easter Tablescape for Outdoor Dining

Easter breakfast, lunch, tea party, or dinner in the garden is a lovely idea for socializing with family and friends during this spring holiday. Decorate the outdoor space in a way that reflects the cheerful color palette and playful forms of Nature. In this article, discover the designer’s tips for creating a decorative scene for dining alfresco. 🙂

Colorful Holiday Breakfast and Tea Party in the Garden

Greenery in this charming garden sets the stage for an outdoor Easter celebration. Highlight the festive occasion by placing a long tablecloth in a neutral tone (as the foundation for colorful decorations and food). Decorative cushions on the chairs or benches can be in the same tone as the tablecloth or in pastel colors to match the Easter ornaments on the dining table.

To light up the outdoor space in the evening, place a few garden lanterns with LED candles throughout the garden or terrace, and add outdoor LED pillar candles and LED candles in traditionally-shaped candlesticks on the dining table. Pastel colors of the candles follow the color palette of this spring outdoor event.

Ornate the garden walls with an Easter egg wreath as a focal point. The soft colors of these decorative eggs match the pastel tones of glass Easter eggs on the festive holiday table.

The centerpiece of this Easter table is created of a white cake stand with a golden rim – filled with various sweets. In the center, there is a bunny made of transparent glass and a LED candle inside – to light up the delicious cakes and cookies. A lovely garland with pastel Easter eggs surrounds the cake stand.

Create a scene for an Easter alfresco dining in a relaxed and playful fashion. The long tablecloth brings a festive touch, while a second tablecloth adds a layer of color to this tablescape. Chairs are of different shapes and colors to highlight the trendy style of this outdoor dining room. The colorful ribbons over the chairs build on the topic of playfulness. Cakes, fruit, flowers, and greenery on the table as well as decorative flags and light above the table paint a colorful picture. Plates, glasses, cutlery, and napkins are of rather simplistic design as a counterbalance to the pastel-colored and playful decor.
