Wine Tasting in Zagreb
In the pleasant ambiance of the Pupitres Wine and Coffee bar in the center of Zagreb, Croatia, successfully run by the famous Croatian sommelier Jelena Šimić Valentić, a presentation of ten wines from the Italian Winery/Group Piccini 1882 was held. This delicious wine tasting event was part of the Pink Day festival – wine and olive oil events.
Since the Piccini winery served only rosés at the Pink Day festival (Torre Mora Etna Rosato DOC 2021, Tenuta Moraia Maremma Toscana DOC Rosato 2021, and Piccini Prosecco Rosato Venetian Dress), they took the opportunity to present a part of their representative wine palettes – to the wine professionals and the media the day before.

The tasting was led by Antonio Ciccarelli, the right hand of the owner and driving force of the Piccini 1882 Group, Mario Piccini, with the help of longtime collaborator Nermina Muzaferija.
The Zagreb presentation was organized by the journalist and director of the Pink Day Festival, president of the WOW / Women on Wine Association Sanja Muzaferija, with the help of sommelier Jelena Šimić Valentić. Prominent Croatian wine experts, sommeliers, and owners of restaurants, wine shops, and wine bars, as well as media representatives, joined. Five Generations in Winemaking – Piccini Family
The representatives of the winery were happy to tell us something about the interesting history of this wine house, and its long tradition – five generations in winemaking, as well as its wines which are welcomed with enthusiasm in all parts of the world.
The company is characterized primarily by family, terroir, and tradition with a clear vision for the future. The keyword in this wine family is certainly passion, as well as the effort to sell top wines at a fair price.

Since 2004, Mario Piccini, CEO of the Group, has been running the company with the help of sisters Martina and Elisa. Today, the Group includes 5 wineries (Fattoria di Valiano, Tenuta Moraia, Villa al Cortile, Torre Mora, and Regio Cantina, located in Sicily) and is one of the top Tuscan but also Italian wine brands in the world.
With the leadership of Mario and his sisters, Martina and Elisa, the fifth generation of the family joined in the work – Mario’s children Ginevra, Benedetta, and Michelangelo.
