Google Campus in Dublin – Interior Design Project

The stimulating and interactive campus represents the Google EU Headquarters – designed by the Swiss architecture studio Camenzind Evolution in collaboration with local firm Henry J. Lyons Architects. Have a look at this interior design project in Dublin, Ireland.

 

A New Google Campus Boosting the Spirit of Innovation

Four buildings in the heart of Dublin’s historic docklands district, over 47’000 m2 of unique office space, a multicultural team belonging to more than 65 countries and speaking over 45 languages.

It’s the new Google Campus in Dublin, conceived to be an attractive workplace boosting the spirit of innovation.

Designed by the Swiss architecture studio Camenzind Evolution in collaboration with local firm Henry J. Lyons Architects, the campus represents the Google EU Headquarters and it’s the sales and finance centre point for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The aim was to create a stimulating and interactive campus and to do this, besides the offices, the architects projected 5 restaurants, 42 micro kitchens, game rooms, a fitness centre, a pool, a learning & development centre over 400 informal and formal meeting rooms.

Google believes that working in a healthy and balanced environment that encourages interaction among colleagues, can stimulate creativity and innovation.

Sustainability is another key focus area for Google and indeed all Google real estate projects work for LEED accreditation.

Pedrali has been selected to furnish the public areas of the Google Campus with many products: from plastic chairs Pasha, 3D-Colour and Kuadra stools, to Apple, Young, and Twig wooden chairs and Young and Woody stools. As well as the padded stool Cube. Regarding the tables, you can find Stylus, Ypsilon and Inox.

Pedrali Products

PASHA – Design Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci

Pasha armchair is the perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation. It is suitable for hotels, restaurants and outdoor areas as well. In polycarbonate, glossy finish. Available colours: white, black, fumè and transparent.

3D-COLOUR – Design Pedrali R&D

3D-Colour, thin and ergonomic shape, has a double-coloured polypropylene shell. A union of functionality and style: from the front white scratch-resistant part to the shiny back part available in red, orange, green, dove, black and white colours. Chromed or red, orange, green or black powder-coated steel frame.

KUADRA – Design Pedrali R&D

Kuadra with composite plastic material shell a resistant and flexible material. Practical and functional it has a smooth and anti-scratch surface; suitable for public environments. Round steel tube frame diam. mm 16 or square mm 20×20. Stackable chair.

APPLE – Design Claudio Dondoli e Marco Pocci

Apple armchair, wooden seat composed of two injected foam veneered parts, bleached oak or wengé stained finish. It is possible to combine them differently thanks to an aluminium plate. Square satinized tube frame 15×15 mm.

YOUNG – Design Pedrali Lab

Light, natural and at the same time strong, Young is a collection of chairs and stools made of a thin curved multilayer sheet, laid on a slim wood frame. The main feature is a simple and essential design.

TWIG – Design Pedrali Lab

Twig chair in oak or beech wood. Its thin back profile creates a stylish bending. Both sides of the back are made up of sandwich panels. Solid oak frame available in bleached oak and stained wengé finishes, or beech frame version natural or stained black, provided with an upholstered seat.

WOODY – Design: Odo Fioravanti

Available in different versions, each one gives a completely different look to the barstool. The veneered plywood shell can be in bleached oak,  wengé stained or with monochromatic or bicolour laminate covering. Adjustable height system. With a base of Ø400 mm and a footrest in polished steel.

CUBE – Design Pedrali R&D

Cube stool is lightweight, comfortable and versatile thanks to its small dimensions; it is ideal for small-sized spaces. With a square steel tube frame mm 25×25 it is available in satin or chrome finish. The upholstered seat is available in a wide range of fabrics.

STYLUS – Design Pedrali R&D

The stylus table base stands out for its minimalistic look and organic outline, thanks to the slim central column and to the rounded corners of its flat square base. Very stable, it is suitable for both square and round table tops.

YPSILON – Design Jorge Pensi Design Studio

Ypsilon table base is conceived to “orbit” on beaches,  terraces and gardens, that is to resist summertime high temperatures, and made of an aluminium structure that will keep it always cold. An aluminium extruded tube that extends itself towards the legs of its casted base, in the same material, giving the whole shape coherence. Ypsilon leans itself on the floor softly, with transparent plastic feet, just like it would be floating in the space that contains it. Suitable for laminate, compact or stainless steel tops, and fixed tops. Top max 600×600 or D700.

INOX – Design Pedrali R&D

Inox table base, brushed stainless steel base 400×400 mm with column 50×50 mm. Height 730 mm. Available also version with adjustable feet. Top max 900×900.
