Lexus Scents & Sensations – an Event for Numerous Fans of Japanese Design, Technology, and Creativity

The previous weekend, the Kaptol Center terrace became an elegant oasis of minimalist luxury with a Japanese signature for one day, on the occasion of the exclusive event Lexus Scents & Sensations.

In a relaxed atmosphere under the open sky, numerous fans of Japanese design, technology, and creativity had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of contemporary Japanese aesthetics and philosophy of life through carefully designed experiences.

Multi-Sensory Experience Inspired by Takumi Craftsmanship and Ikigai Philosophy

Inspired by the Japanese concepts of Takumi craftsmanship (master artisans who dedicate over 60,000 hours to perfecting their skills) and the Ikigai (Japanese word for “a reason to live”) philosophy of finding passion and life mission that guides us and fuels our willpower, while discovering beauty and inner peace in the small rituals of everyday life, Lexus designed the gathering as a multi-sensory experience that combines design, art, gastronomy, and a creative relaxation. Guests enjoyed Japanese delicacies such as Matcha Macarons from Magnolia Slastice (Magnolia Sweets), while exploring various aspects of Japanese culture and aesthetics through a series of workshops.

Fashion duo KLISAB led a cherry blossom scarf-painting workshop, inspired by the Japanese respect for materials and handicraft.

Dnevna doza biljaka (Daily Dose of Plants) introduced guests to a meditative world of balance, harmony, and slowing down through the creation of Zen gardens. As part of a perfume layering workshop with Jo Malone London, guests explored the art of layering scents and creating a personal perfume signature with Japanese notes of cedar and cypress. The fragrant experience emphasized the importance of individuality and nurturing one’s own sensibilities.
