Museum of Arts and Crafts at the International Glass Exhibition in the Austrian Glas Museum in Bärnbach

This year, the Museum of Arts and Crafts from Zagreb, Croatia, continues its partnership with the Stölzle Glas Center as part of the international glass exhibition at the Glas Museum Bärnbach in Austria. This year’s 30th-anniversary exhibition is called the Wonderful World of Glass “Die Wunderwelt des Glases”, which presents valuable museum collections and interesting glass exhibits, among which objects from the Glass Collection of the Museum of Arts and Crafts can be seen since 2014. This year, nine museums from Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia, including the MUO (the Museum of Arts and Crafts), at the exhibition the Wonderful World of Glass “Die Wunderwelt des Glases”, present stories about the value and artistic creativity in glass art to the audience. Almost thirty selected exhibits from the rich MUO Glass Collection were presented according to the concept of Sandra Kandučar Trojan, museum advisor and head of the MUO Glass Collection.

A pitcher in the shape of a dolphin, bottles from Murano, winged glasses from the Netherlands created in the 17th century, a vase from Belgium, a bowl, and stemmed glasses from the Czech Republic are just some of the unique exhibited glass objects from famous glass factories.

This year’s anniversary exhibition is connected to some of the thematic “highlights” of the past decades, and you can view it at the Glas Museum Bärnbach in Styria until the end of December 2024.
