New Container bets on innovation from simplicity

The revision of the original collection from simplicity perspective allows the creation of a free and magical space.

New Container rises of the revision of the former Container range, which in 2003 not only changed the bathroom sector but also created a trend. It is a collection designed by architect Xavier Claramunt and interior designer Miquel de Mas, creatives who usually work for Industrias Cosmic, S.A. and stand out for their brilliant ideas and a singular and universal conception of space.

In 2003 Xavier Claramunt was inspired by the idea that elegance rises from simplicity. In other words, as genius Leonardo da Vinci said, ‘simplicity is the supreme sophistication’. From that point, Cosmic has released New Container range, which has two editions; one exclusive and one more affordable, however both are conceived from a simple and innovative point of view.

Container

Container range is addressed to the people who wish to have an exclusive bathroom, with outstanding elements. The main attraction is its washbasin, 57cm. x 57 cm., made in white Carrara marble and black Marquina marble. This washbasin rests on its legs, in glossy or matt stain less steel, which is a technical counterpoint to the sobriety of the marble.

The swivel mirror is the second special element of this exclusive collection. Its height, 1,90 m, allows a person to be entirely reflected. It enables to hide behind shelves to keep personal care items. When the mirror goes back to its original position, all remains hidden again, creating a clean and organized atmosphere. The collection is completed with a trolley, a bench and the stools, which were part of the original collection and were a great success in sales for its originality and functionality.

Towel rails and shelves are also included in the new collection. The constant evolution, investigation and improvement of the production process have allowed total perfection to new release.

The creators of the collection, Xavier Claramunt and Miquel de Mas, have conceived a proposal to achieve in the bathroom a personalized organization from different elements which can be combined. The designers give importance to the possibility of changing the way people live, because as Claramunt says “no matter the shape of the things, but how things make you change”.

Global Container

The more affordable collection is a bet on functionally, not at odds with design. The 50 cm washbasin is still the main element, and presents a novelty. A bowl has been settled in the sink to store water. This proposal is thought to encourage reduction of water consumption, and responds to one of the values of the collection, the environmental awareness. The new design incorporates a five-hole overflow in circle shape, which is has a soap dish function as well. The washbasin rests on its legs in stain less steel, where some hangers especially designed for the collection have fit. The collection is completed with a rounded silicone tray intended for the personal care items.

The vanity includes in its counter top a container that slides on guides. A drawer with a large interior storage capacity follows the range philosophy and offers containers that help to storage tidily.

The shelves and the cabinet have joint together in this collection to become a medicine cabinet without “walls”. The mirror slides on the shelves hiding or showing the daily personal care items.

In brief, Container is group of elements that works individually and in addition to that contribute to a better organization of the personal room.
