Grundig excels at Living Kitchen with a five-pack of energy-saving household appliances
Right from the moment of its entry into the large household appliances sector Grundig is coming up trumps with its five-pack of energysaving wonders. At this year, the company is presenting its so-called “EcoChamps” for the green household of the future. The devices– ranging from in-built ovens to dishwashers, fridges, washing machines and dryers – all stand out due to the use of intelligent technologies which save resources whilst simultaneously achieving superb results. Grundig’s five EcoChamps each excel by being in the highest efficiency rating class for their respective product category, and sometimes even exceeding it, and they also boast a winning combination of maximum functionality and ease of use.
The “cool” EcoChamp: the GKNI 15730 built-in fridge-freezer
Low energy-use values are very important, especially when it comes to refrigerators which are in constant daily use. That’s why Grundig has designed a very energy-efficient device for the field of refrigeration and freezing. Thanks to its A+++ energy efficiency rating, the GKNI 15730 in-built fridge-freezer combination that has a gross volume of 300 litres counts as an especially economical refrigeration device, and it also incorporates intelligent “no frost” technology. This ensures that the interior of the fridge and the freezer compartment now never freeze up. There is therefore no need for fiddly and time-consuming de-icing of the device. An audible alarm also indicates if the fridge door has been left open for too long and therefore prevents unnecessary energy consumption. This EcoChamp also boasts other intelligent features, such as the “0-3°C Super Fresh” zone where highly perishable foodstuffs can be cooled at a temperature of between zero and three degrees, meaning that they stay fresh for longer. The odour filter also does its bit to ensure the right level of hygiene.
Environmentally-friendly families cook with Grundig
The preparing of delicious dishes in the “green” kitchen of tomorrow is made possible by Grundig with its GEBM 34000 X multi-function oven which has outstandingly low energy consumption values and is particularly quiet in operation. Using 40 percent less energy than energy efficiency class A devices, it is extremely economical and environmentally-friendly. What’s more, at only 43 dBA the oven is decidedly quiet in operation. Of course there’s no skimping when it comes to the equipment specification or ease of use. The in-built oven is encased in elegant stainless steel with an animated LC display and it has over twelve heating modes, including an option for gentle defrosting, an eco-hot air function, and a platewarming and pizza function. Now cleaning the oven couldn’t be easier as well, thanks to the excellent clean-glass inner door and the smooth interior.
Sparkling dishes – excellent energy efficiency
Grundig also comes up trumps with an energy-saving prodigy for dishwashing. The GNU 51040 X dishwasher is not just very gentle and thorough in its operation, it’s also particularly efficient in its use of resources. Using ten percent less energy than class A+++ devices, the GNU 51040 X allows you to save significantly more electricity and water thanother devices. This is made possible by an innovative EcoMotor that operates at variable speeds so as to ensure energy-efficient cleaning cycles combined with low water consumption and quiet operation. Combined with special aluminium insulation and its eco drying function, this makes the GNU 51040 X a real world beater in energy-saving terms. For optimal cleaning results the dishwasher is also equipped with the Shinematic function: the dishwasher measures the level of water hardness and adapts itself to it automatically, which protects glasses effectively against corrosion and extends their usable life by a factor of more than twenty.
Environmentally-friendly washing and drying: gently cleaned laundry in no time
The new GWN 58472 C fully automatic washing machine from Grundig is just the ticket for anyone who attaches importance to the most efficient possible use of electricity and water when doing the laundry without having to sacrifice maximum functionality. The washing machine uses a full 40 percent less energy than comparable A+++ class devices. This is down to the multi-sense technology among other things, which automatically recognises what type of washing and how much of it there is in the machine and automatically selects the appropriate programme with efficient use of resources. The laundry can also be dried just as conveniently and sustainably with Grundig: the GTN 48271 GC heat pump dryer is a superbly energy-efficient device which outstrips energy-efficiency class A+++ by 10 percent. This is because the dryer is based on “Advanced Heat Pump” technology which allows the clothes to be dried very quickly but at the same time very gently at the relatively low temperature of 55° C with an improved drum motion. Grundig also doesn’t skimp on equipment features or user convenience. The washing machine, which holds up to eight kilograms, offers the user a choice of 16 programs as well as four additional functions. In the case of the dryer a 3-stage precision control system allows the level of drying to be individually set. What’s more, the WoolProtect programme is particularly gentle on delicate fabrics.
